Judaica 1940s - collection of 10 different cigarette cards issued by the Masparo Co. of Tel Aviv. Each card wirth Hebrew printed text on back described the front view. Cards showing: Opening of the Jewish agency in Palestine, The Russian Jewish organization in Berlin, Meeting of Hebrew writers in Kiryat Anavim (near Jerusalem), Funeral of Max Nardau, Jewish organization Chovevai Zion meeting,  Kfar Nachum synagogue, Tomb of Rabbi Bezalel in Prag, Rashi Synagogue,  Naftali Imbar who wrote Israel national anthem, Rabbi David Ophenhiemer. Each card with small traces of hinges on back. VF interesting lot.

Judaica - Moshe Montifuri signed letter # 1 (marked on top right). 2 horizontal folds plus few words with pen marks over, otherwise VF & Rare. Sir Moses Haim Montefiore (24 October 1784 – 28 July 1885) was an English financier, banker, philanthropist and Sheriff of London. He donated large sums of money to promote industry, education and health amongst the Jewish community in the Levant, including the founding of Mishkenot Sha'ananim in 1860, the first settlement of the New Yishuv. As President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, his correspondence with the British consul in Damascus Charles Henry Churchill in 1841-42 is seen as pivotal to the development of Proto-Zionism.

Judaica 17th Zionist Congress - 12.12.1931 mailed postcard (with postage due marking) sign by Ussishkin and another delegate below on view art card by Joseph Budko. F-VF & rare. Menachem Ussishkin (14 August 1863 – 2 October 1941) was a Russian-born Zionist leader and head of the Jewish National Fund.Avraham Menachem Mendel Ussishkin was born in Dubroŭna in the Belarusian part of the Russian Empire. In 1889, he graduated as a technical engineer from Moscow Technological Institute. Ussishkin was among the founders of the BILU movement and the Moscow branch of the Hovevei Zion. He also joined the Bnei Moshe society founded by Ahad HaAm. In 1891, he made his first trip to Palestine.He served as Secretary of the First Zionist Congress. At the Sixth Zionist Congress he opposed Uganda plan. He was one of the Jewish delegates to the Paris peace conference after World War I.In 1919, Ussishkin made aliyah to Palestine. In 1920 he was appointed head of the Zionist Commission in Palestine. In his pamphlet "Our Program" he advocated group settlement based on labour Zionism. Under his influence the Zionist movement actively supported the establishment of agricultural settlements, educational and cultural institutions, and Jewish polytechnic - later the Technion.In 1923 he was elected President of the Jewish National Fund which he headed until his death. Ussishkin was behind major land acquisitions in the Hefer, Jezreel and Beit She'an valleys.He died in 1941 in Jerusalem at the age of 78. He is buried in Nicanor's Cave at the botanical gardens of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on Mount Scopus.

Judaica 1872 folded letter from Worms Germany to Lichtenstein, appeal for Romanian jews from congregation in Worms. Returned to sender by Lichtecstein post office with hand writtem message : "There are no Jews in Lichenstein" !!!. Transit & arrival postmarks on back. F-VF & very Rare early Anti Semitic postal history item.
