Israel Postal History - Hakirya Tel Aviv to the USA. Airmail cover franked 70mil mailed by a soldier stationed in Hakirya Tel Aviv( but wrote his residence Affula address on back).  Hakirya postmarks dated 6.12.1948, Philadelphia p/m on back January 17 1949. Handstamped in the USA "Unclaimed, Unknown & Rebut", returned back to Israel where it was marked on back "Civilian mail Affula"  alongside military postmarks on front and back dated April 4, April 13 & April 18 1949. Very interesting postal history item. Cover missing small part at bottom left (away from postmarks or stamps). F-VF & scarce.
